On Saturday, February 5, we held our first “Open Farm” at Rock Ridge
Alpacas. Mother Nature smiled upon us with a stunning, sunny day and 50 degree temps. Over
two hundred fifty (250) people from the surrounding area streamed up our driveway to see
us alpacas! Many, ages 2 to 92, had never seen an alpaca before.
They fed our babies by hand with hay from our feeders and felt our soft fiber blankets.
Many purchased skeins of our personalized yarn.
All left with smiles on their faces!
